Adding new exercises

Creating an exercise in ViviFIT is a straightforward process that can be done in just a few steps. In this article, we will guide you through the process of creating an exercise in ViviFIT, including some optional fields that can enhance the user's experience.

Step 1: Click on "Custom Exercises" on the Left Side Bar

After logging into your ViviFIT account, click on the "Custom Exercise" option on the left sidebar. This will bring up a list of all the custom exercises that you have created.

Step 2: Click "Create New Exercise"

To create a new exercise, click on the "Create New Exercise" tab. This will open up a blank form that you need to fill out with the details of the exercise.

Step 3: Fill in the Mandatory Fields

The mandatory fields are the Name and Status fields. The Name field is where you enter the name of the exercise, while the Status field allows you to choose whether the exercise is active or inactive. Once you have filled in these fields, you can click on the "Save" button to create the exercise.

Optional Fields

In addition to the Mandatory fields, there are several optional fields that you can fill out to enhance the user's experience. In this article, we will analyze some of them.

Instructions: This field allows you to describe all the different steps of the exercise. Each step is a line, and you can add different lines by clicking on the "Add Lines" button. This field is particularly useful for exercises that involve multiple movements or steps.

Benefits: This field allows you to list all the benefits that this specific exercise can bring to the client. This is a big value add for the client, as they can learn the logic behind the exercise and understand why it is beneficial for them.

Progression: This field allows you to provide the client with a next-level exercise if they are progressing quickly. This can be a variation of the exercise that makes it more challenging. For example, if the client is doing push-ups, the next-level exercise could be diamond push-ups, which are more challenging.

Regression: This field allows you to provide the client with a less difficult version of the exercise if they are finding it too challenging. This can be a variation that makes the exercise easier. For example, if the client is doing squats, the regression could be chair squats, which are easier.

By providing detailed instructions, listing the benefits of the exercise, and offering progression and regression options, you can create an exercise that is challenging, effective, and tailored to the client's needs.

Videos: This field allows you to add a youtube video link, that can help your client to understand better the exercise and the technique.

Click on "Add Line" > input the youtube video URL and give a name to it, you can also resume the caption of the video in some simple words.
